Wendy Scott
I help others find their own compass to healing, by supporting them where they are in the moment, and reminding them that our yesterdays don't have to predict our tomorrows, while we still have today.
Wendy Scott Disclosure Statement
Wendy Scott is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a specialization in Forensic Psychology from Walden University.
Wendy became a counselor out of a deep passion for helping people navigate life’s toughest challenges. She takes a “toolbox approach” to counseling, recognizing that each person is unique and may respond differently to various methods of support. Her goal is to equip clients with practical strategies and resources that fit their individual needs.
Her therapeutic work is informed by Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). She also integrates mindfulness and, when clients desire, spiritual elements into the healing process.
Wendy specializes in working with emerging adults, ADHD, life transitions, trauma, and domestic violence (supporting both survivors and individuals working to change harmful patterns). She is both family- and LGBTQIA+-inclusive. Her passion is to help clients recognize that their past does not define their future, and that each day presents an opportunity for growth, healing, and new beginnings.
