I am a graduate student, completing my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Forensic Psychology from Walden University. I became a counselor because I wanted to be able to help people find their own way through life’s toughest adversities. I like to use what I call the “toolbox approach” when working with clients, because I believe that everyone is unique in their own way, and with that uniqueness we may not always respond or learn the same way as other people might. Some of the theories I work from are Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I also integrate mindfulness and use different spiritual aspects in my treatment, if this is something the client wants or prefers. My main niches are working with children, adolescents, teens, and young adults. I am family and LGBT+ inclusive. My passion in life is to help others discover and learn that their yesterdays do not have to predict their tomorrows – when they still have today.
