Aggression Control Workshop Level I

This course is beneficial for providing participants with tools they can use to change the way they respond to difficult situations. This course provides 8 CEUs.

This 8-hour workshop satisfies court or diversion requirements but is also open to anyone wanting to learn more about anger management and aggressive behavior.

Topics include:

  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Self-care
  • Assertiveness techniques
  • How your beliefs influence your behaviors.

Aggression Control Workshop Level 2 (The first 8 hours are the same coursework as ACW Level 1)

This course is beneficial for providing participants with tools they can use to change the way they respond to difficult situations. This course provides 16 CEUs.

 This 16-hour workshop satisfies court or diversion requirements but is also open to anyone wanting to learn more about anger management and aggressive behavior.

Topics include:

  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Self-care
  • Assertiveness techniques
  • How your beliefs influence your behaviors.

Theft Awareness

This course is beneficial for individuals to examine why people steal and what helps them change these patterns of behavior. This course provides 4 CEUS.

This 4-hour workshop satisfies court or diversion requirements and explores impulsive and compulsive stealing.

Topics include:

  • Examining thinking and beliefs around theft
  • Effective stress and life management techniques
  • What to do when one’s values and morals don’t match behavior
  • And much more!

ADHD, Entrepreneurship, Creativity & Business

This course is beneficial for individuals wanting to gain educational awareness regarding ADHD. This course provides 6 CEUs.

This 6-hour workshop focuses on the characteristics of ADHD and how it affects your career or business life in both a positive and detrimental manner.

Topics Include:

  • What is ADHD, and how to treat it 
  • The relationship between entrepreneurship, salesmanship, marketing, creativity, and ADHD 
  • How to tap into and utilize the natural creative side people with ADHD have
  • And more!

ADHD, Codependency & Their Effects on Relationships

This course is beneficial for individuals wanting to gain educational awareness about how to manage ADHD and codependency. This course provides 6 CEUs.

This 6-hour workshop covers the characteristics of ADHD and codependency.

Topics include:

  • How each condition affects the quality of relationships, and how to change behavior to lessen their impact. 
  • Treatment techniques for ADHD and Codependency
  • How to examine preconceived notions about these topics

Codependency & Adult Children of the Afflicted (ACOA)

This course is beneficial for individuals to gain awareness about codependency and the effect that it has on life and relationships. This course provides 6 CEUs.

This 6-hour workshop covers characteristics of codependency.

Topics include:

  • A general understanding of codependency and how it relates to ACOA
  • Ways to focus on yourself 
  • How to say no to others when needed, 
  • Ask for what you need, set boundaries and limits for yourself, and much more!

Racism, Sexism, Homophobia, and Other Forms of Oppression

This course meets the requirements for the State of Washington continuing education for DV treatment providers. This course provides 4 CEUs.

This 4-hour workshop looks at racism, sexism, homophobia, and other forms of oppression and how these issues show up in domestic violence treatment.

Topics include:

  • Microaggressions: What are they, and how to identify them
  • What is privilege? 
  • How to explore and challenge personal beliefs
  • How to include experiential activites in group

Four Global Areas of Change

This course meets the requirements of the State of Washington for continuing education for DV treatment providers. This course provides 2 CEUs.

This two-hour workshop is open to anyone wanting to learn more about domestic violence (DV) treatment techniques.

Topics include:

  • How lifestyle impacts treatment and behavior
  • Ways that brain chemistry can be altered
  • Specific program tools to use in a DV class
  • Assessing belief systems

A Unique Perspective on Child Motivation and Parenting

This course meets the requirements of the State of Washington for continuing education for DV treatment providers. This course provides 2 CEUs.

This 2-hour workshop covers several different aspects of parenting. Topics include:

  • Different parenting styles
  • How motivation can be impacted by external structures
  • Competitive vs cooperative learning
  • How to empower and support children.

Advanced Methods for Treating Domestic Violence

This course meets the requirements of the State of Washington for continuing education for DV treatment providers. This course provides 6 CEUs.

Rainier Springs Domestic Violence Awareness Presentation

This workshop meets the requirements of the State of Washington for continuing education for DV treatment providers. This course provides 1.5 CEUs.

During this free online workshop, you will learn several aspects of how to assess for domestic violence (DV),  as well as gain access to resources you can use during a DV perpetrator group.

Topics include:

  • Information about DV treatment
  • Why couple’s counseling can be harmful in a DV situation
  • The four global areas of change that can be taught in a DV perpetrator group
  • The ins and outs of running a DV treatment group
Imposter syndrome

During this free online workshop, you will learn about imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome occurs when someone is doubting their ability and feels like a fraud. The instructor will go through techniques that counselors can try in order to decrease imposter syndrome. 

Working with Couples 101

During this free online workshop, you will learn about the basics of working with couples. This course will review screening items for couples, tools to use, and common issues that present while working with couples.
