Katey Hibbett
I believe that trust and collaboration are at the heart of meaningful counseling. My first priority is to get to know you—to really understand your story, your needs, and what feels most important right now—so we can move toward your goals together, at a pace that feels right for you.
Katey Hibbett Disclosure Statement
I’ve spent the last three years studying mental health counseling at Portland State University, with a specialty in disability and chronic illness. As someone who lives with chronic illness myself, I understand how overwhelming it can be when physical and mental health challenges touch every part of your life. My goal is to offer a place where you can explore the pain, grief, and loss these experiences can bring—while also making room for healing, growth, and building a life that feels meaningful to you.
Whatever brings you to counseling, my hope is to offer a safe and supportive space where you can explore what you’re going through, express your emotions, and move toward healing in your own time. My approach is rooted in person-centered, psychodynamic, humanistic, and social justice perspectives. I see each person not just as an individual, but as someone shaped by the systems they live within. However you show up—whatever your identities, history, or current circumstances—you are welcome here.
