Wendy Scott
I help others find their own compass to healing, by supporting them where they are in the moment, and reminding them that our yesterdays don't have to predict our tomorrows, while we still have today.
Wendy Scott Disclosure Statement
Wendy Scott is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). She completed her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Forensic Psychology from Walden University.
I became a counselor because I wanted to be able to help people find their own way through life’s toughest adversities. In addition, I like to use what I call the “toolbox approach” when working with clients because I believe that everyone is unique in their own way. Therefore, we may not always respond or learn the same way as other people might.
Some of the theories I work from are Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I also integrate mindfulness and use different spiritual aspects in my treatment, if this is something the client wants or prefers. My main niches are working with children, adolescents, teens, and young adults. I am family and LGBTQIA+ inclusive. Furthermore, my passion in life is to help others discover and learn that their yesterdays do not have to predict their tomorrows – when they still have today.
