Scott Groseclose Disclosure Statement
I believe that meaningful and connected relationships with others, along with the courage to communicate our personal truths authentically, are essential to our general emotional well-being and happiness in life. There are many possible factors at play that can disrupt our ability to be fully present and represent our authentic selves within our personal relationships with others. Some possibilities include shame, trauma, and attachment wounds experienced in childhood, overburdened schedules and toxic stress, developmental challenges, or lack of positive role models or resources. Through this lens, therapy becomes a collaborative process about learning and practicing new ways of honoring our internal experiences and inner voices, then finding the bravery and personal strength to communicate those truths to promote more mindful and deeply gratifying relationships with others and with the world.
