Madeline Irwin Disclosure Statement
Hi! My name is Madeline Irwin and I am a Master of Social Work graduate student, working toward becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I believe that therapy is most effective when it is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in each person’s unique experiences. As a systems thinker, I recognize that our relationships, communities, identities, and environments all shape our mental health and overall well-being. My approach is flexible and client-centered, allowing each person to help guide the direction of our work together while building on their existing strengths.
As someone with a physical disability, I bring both personal insight and a deep commitment to creating an inclusive, affirming therapeutic space. My years of advocacy within the disability and chronic illness communities have strengthened my passion for supporting individuals from marginalized and historically oppressed communities. Clinically, I am especially interested in working with individuals navigating disability, chronic illness, identity development, life transitions, and relationship concerns. I am also passionate about couples therapy and sex therapy, and I hope to support clients in cultivating healthier relationships, meaningful connection, and fulfilling lives. My goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to define what healing and growth look like for them.
