Conner Trewet Disclosure Statement

I am currently completing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University

I believe the most important part of counseling individuals is the building of an honest, respectful, and trusting relationship between client and counselor. I hold strongly to the idea that profound things happen when clients feel free to openly share their thoughts and feelings without the need to protect themselves from judgment. I enjoy meeting the client where they are at in their journey and utilizing their strengths to foster growth in desired areas collaboratively.

I enjoy working with individuals (older children, adolescents, young adults) who are interested in addressing topics surrounding anxiety and self-esteem as well as those who are working through major life transitions. I recognize that the client is the expert on themselves and their life and I intend to honor that as we navigate this process together. I incorporate an integrative approach to counseling and prefer to pull from a variety of popular counseling theories to tailor each session to meet the needs of the client. I approach counseling primarily from a humanistic, person-centered approach. In collaboration through an authentic and genuine conversation, we can build a path towards fulfillment, health, and stability.
