A Better Way’s goal is to aid children, adults and families in living fulfilling and successful lives.
A Better Way Counseling Service, LLC provides individual, couples, family, and group counseling. They offer Washington State-certified Domestic Violence Treatment, as well as codependency, attention deficit disorder, anger management and consumer awareness classes.
A Better Way is taking steps to integrate sustainable practices into their services. When they moved into their office, a periwinkle blue 1908 bungalow, they updated it with energy efficient lighting and windows. They transformed their garage into office space with reinforced soundproof walls that offer privacy for therapy clients as well as increased energy efficiency.
For their clients who commute by bike, they’ve installed a covered bike rack for parking. They encourage clients and staff alike to take advantage of their recycling facilities. Through NW Natural’s Smart Energy program, they’re offsetting 100-percent of their emissions from natural gas usage.
