Katherine Posey

Student Therapist (She/Her)

I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can finally exhale. A space where you don’t have to hold it together, explain yourself perfectly, or be “strong” for everyone else.

Katherine Posey Disclosure Statement

I view therapy as a collaborative, confidential space where you can speak openly without needing to perform or hold everything together. My priority is to create a supportive environment where you feel heard, respected, and safe to address whatever is weighing on you.

Many of the clients I work with are thoughtful, capable individuals who appear “put together” on the outside, yet feel overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, or disconnected internally.

My approach is trauma-informed and rooted in compassion. I integrate Solution-Focused Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to support meaningful, values-based change, while drawing from psychodynamic therapy to explore deeper patterns and relational influences. I also incorporate somatic and mindfulness-based techniques to support nervous system regulation and emotional resilience.

Therapy with me is a partnership. Together, we’ll identify what feels most important, explore current challenges, and move at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Along the way, you’ll develop insight and supportive strategies for lasting growth, building on your existing resources while expanding your capacity for change. I believe in checking in regularly about what’s working, adjusting when needed, and honoring your unique path toward healing.

You don’t have to navigate it alone.
